Are you faced with a crisis and don’t know where to turn? Whether it be in your life, or your family or friends, we all face problems such as anxiety, fear, financial problems, loneliness, illness, separation from loved one(s), and depression etc. The feelings are intense and we find during those moments we are at our lowest ebb. We need help and we need it now. We search for something or someone to fill that void that exists in all of us.
The void we feel was placed there on purpose. When God created us, He created us with a desire to search for something that will complete us. The answer to that something is……God.
God promises that when anyone seeks him with their whole heart they will find Him. He really loves us. He has given us a gift of eternal life, if we choose to have it. I chose years ago and I am never alone and I know God personally Father. Below you will find how to become a Christian.
First we must see ourselves as God does. We are sinners and we have a sinful heart, picture it being black. Black will represent the sin that is present in our lives. The Bible teaches us in Romans 3:23 that everyone is a sinner. We are born in sin and sin is what keeps us separated from having that personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.
God promised we will find Him once we search for Him with our WHOLE heart. The color red represents God’s Son, Jesus, and the blood he shed when He died. Most all of us are familiar with the Christmas Story. Jesus was born to a virgin named Mary. Jesus grew to be a man and performed many miracles during his three years of ministry. He preached to thousands and yet He individually healed those who came to Him. The religious leaders were jealous and stirred up strife and wanted Jesus dead. Little did they realize that Jesus came into the world to die for our sins. Jesus died on a cross, though He had done nothing wrong. He died so that He might bring life spiritually to all who believe in Him. He arose from the dead (Easter celebration) so He conquered death.
The Bible tells us if we repent and believe that Jesus died for our sins we have life. Repent means we ask God for forgiveness and we turn our lives around and go toward the light. That light is Jesus. You give your entire life to God with the understanding you will become a new person.
Perhaps you are a Christian but you have not been living like you should. Why not ask God for help and rededicate your life. God loves you so much and with His arms around you, you will find comfort and peace.
To believe is to stick, adhere and cling to. It is like sitting in a chair. If I ask you to sit down in the chair and you say “No” because you don’t believe it will hold you, then you lack faith. Faith is believing that the chair will hold you and you sit down. Believing in the Lord means you trust Him with your life. Faith requires action on our part which results in believing.
One of my favorite Bible passages is: “Take away my sin, and I will be clean. Wash me and I will be whiter than snow. Create in me a pure heart, God and make my spirit right again. Keep me strong by giving me a willing spirit. The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God, you will not reject a heart that is broken and sorry for sin.” Psalm 51
Heaven is prepared for those whose lives are changed by believing in Jesus. In fact, the payment for sin is death and eternal damnation. The Bible is our guidebook to living. We then purpose in our hearts to know Him.
What an honor and privelege to have God as our Heavenly Father. We will have peace and direction in our lives. He promises to fill the “hungry soul with goodness.” He said “My peace I give unto you.” He loves you so much and He has been waiting for you to come to Him. You don’t have to be alone any more. You have someone who will take those heavy burdens you have been experiencing.
White represents purity. White covers the black heart and changes it. All your sins are forgiven and he remembers them no more. You start a new life, a new beginning. Your sins have been forgiven and forgotten. Yeah! There is no experience like this one. It is awesome.
Invite God into your life and let Him give you peace, joy, and satisfaction knowing He will always be with you. God is available every moment of every day. Please pray the ABC prayer. Admit you are a sinner and ask God for forgiveness. Believe He died and rose again for you personally and Believe the Word of God. Confess your new faith and find a good church that believes the Bible is the Word of God and then attend.
Romans 10:9, 10 If you confess with your mouth, that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified (just as though you had not sinned) and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
Romans 10:13 For whosoever (anyone including you) shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
